Ever since I lost Noah, I’ve picked up running – this, a space for all the types of healing and a place for health. I’ve been running a mile for each month he has been gone, so the first month was 1 mile, 2 months, 2 miles, etc.
This month, I’ve decided to change things up a bit. As we enter into winter – darker days, colder nights, I’ve decided to cap my running for the next few months. I will still run on his anniversary but instead of continuing to add miles, I’m going to run 7.4 miles. Still a sacrificial and time consuming run, but less than 9 – 10 miles, which would take me nearly 2 hours to complete.
7.4 is significant and a way to honor my son.
Noah, when he was born, weighted 7.4 oz. He was born at 7:45am on the 27th of the 4th month. Okay, that last one is a bit of a stretch – but still – 7.4, it’s significant.
So tomorrow, 7 months since his last heartbeat – I will run 7.4 for him
